First and foremost, I’m a follower of Jesus. A sinner saved by grace. I know that what Jesus has done for me is simple. He’s done for me what I can’t do for myself. I also know that family, relationships, and life in general are rarely simple or easy. I love that I get to point my students, my friends, and many of my family to Jesus, the one who has saved me and is changing me from the inside out to love God and others better. I’m passionate about seeing students’ lives be transformed by Jesus as they choose to trust and follow Him as their Lord.
I’ve been going to Morning Star since 2011. I love hanging out with sister, her husband, and my mom. Some things I enjoy are books (I love Lord of the Rings way too much) and movies, good coffee, good conversation, board games, campfires, and hiking. My favorite hikes are out in the middle of nowhere. Those places that, when I’m there, I realize how loud the world I live in is. Also, the hikes that I have the most fun with are the ones that are somewhere in between a hike and a climb. I’m working on my bachelor’s degree in religion right now through Faith International University and planning to go on to study Bible and counseling at a graduate level. I rent a house with four other awesome guys who love Jesus; we eat, talk, play games, and have nerf fights together.
