Prayer Guide May 3 – 9

Prayer Guide May 3 – 9

20 MINUTES WITH JESUS

In His Word // Begin by carefully reading one chapter a day. While you’re reading, write down things that stand out to you, questions you may have, and what you think the passage means. Then look for a command to follow, a promise to proclaim, and a prayer to be prayed. Write them down, too . . . then obey, proclaim, and pray!

In Prayer // Our prayer emphasis is three-fold: for our church, our community, and our world. On the days we gather together to pray, specific requests are listed. Links to join for online prayer are found on our website, www.mstar.church. On the other days, simply pray for each of these three focal points as the Lord leads you.

Scripture: Acts 2

Prayer

  • Our Church // For our Children’s Ministries:
    • Pray for parents as they’re now educating or facilitating education at home on top of everything else. The most-used word from parents is “overwhelmed”—mainly referring to all the content and resources that are being thrown their way. They need wisdom and patience.
    • Pray for kids as they’re being educated on a new platform, in a new space, with zero social interaction. Many children are saying that they’re done with online learning. It’s also overwhelming for them.
  • Our Community // The May election and political process
  • Our World // The news media
