This information is specifically meant for parents of students going on the Spring Break Missions Trip and will cover decisions specific to Spring Break Missions.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the decision to postpone the Modesto trip due to the developing Coronavirus outbreak. This is not a decision that was made lightly, but rather with as much information as possible as it is released to us. We truly believe it is in the best interest of our students. The students who were planning to go to Modesto will join the Salem team. The decision of when the Modesto trip will be rescheduled will be approached when it is appropriate to do so.
The Salem trip has been modified in length. The trip will last from Sunday, March 22 until Thursday, March 26. We made the decision to modify the length due to the fact that our options for service opportunities during this time are limited compared to what they have been in the past.
It is of utmost importance to us to keep our students safe during this time. We will be doing everything in our power during this trip to make wise decisions regarding which service opportunities are appropriate for us to engage in.
There will be no missions meeting this Sunday, March 15. More information will be sent to your students next week with packing lists and additional trip details. We will continue to use the Homebase app to communicate with the team. Please make sure your students are active in checking the information on it.

We believe that God has something special in store for this trip and this team. We have a team of students who are on mission to lead people to pursue a Jesus-first life and believe that God will use them in mighty ways this spring break. Please join us in praying for continued wisdom and guidance as we prepare for what God has planned for us.
Please contact us with any questions you might have.

“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.”
