We’re posting this for our Morning Star family in the evacuation alert areas—to you. If you or your neighbors need a place to stay, we can help. We’re fervently praying for you and actively working on coordinating resources with needs.
Members of our church family are offering their homes. The church facility and parking lot (for trailers, tents, and RVs) will be open if needed. Community resources are available: the Red Cross has staging areas at the Fairgrounds and the Volcanoes stadium where hotel vouchers and other help is readily available.
You are loved, you are not alone. In these desperate situations, God shows Himself strong. We’re trusting Him with and for you. Psalm 46:1 is true for you: God is your refuge and strength, an unshakable, faithful and ever present help in time of trouble.
So keep in mind that if you or your neighbors need a place to shelter, contact the church offices at 503.581.2477 or email@example.com. Let’s make the most of this tragedy to live out the love of Jesus in tangible, practical ways.
If you are in a position to help, please let us know so we can match provision with need.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if any of the following apply to you:
- If you have room to shelter someone. Shelter may be in your home or in your travel trailer or RV.
- If you have resources or can help in other ways
- If you are in the danger zones and need help
We have this opportunity to do good, to provide tangible help in this time of deep need and unshakable hope in the face of great trouble. God has always been faithful. The Morning Star family has always risen to the challenge. May God be with us as He was with Daniel’s gang in their fiery furnace.
