Hello, my name is Scott Lute. My wife Kelle and I have attended Morning Star since the first official service was held on July 4, 1982. Following my retirement from the business world, it was my long term relationship with this body of believers and the prompting of God’s Spirit, that led me to join the Morning Star staff in January of 2015 for a few years assisting the pastoral staff.
My wife and I became Christians shortly after we were married in 1977. With the aid and influence of so many great people at Morning Star, we raised our three sons to love and serve Christ. At the same time Kelle and I grew in our faith toward God and our love for each other. Appreciating the incredible influence that the staff and the body of believers at Morning Star have had on my own family, fuels my desire to encourage others in their walk of faith.
In my spare time I love to ride motorcycles. I also love to spend time with each of our 10 grandchildren. My favorite person also doubles as my best friend, my wife Kelle.
My youthful interest in history found a focal point when I was introduced to the Scriptures. I am convinced that it is the understanding of Biblical history and God’s revelation of Himself that allow us to make sense of our world. As a result of this belief, I like to teach from the Older Testament to the Newer Testament while emphasizing practical applications in contemporary life.
As a board member, I am honored to serve with so many dedicated servants who pour out their lives on behalf of the Kingdom of God and the people at Morning Star Community Church.
