Financial Update - September 2025

Hey Church Family,

What a summer this has been! From Student Ministries’ Great Camp (with its 228 campers and 118 volunteers) to 36 baptisms, to the Kids’ events to Sports Camp to Movie Night to pool parties, God proved Himself amazing! Our Prayer Walks not only covered our neighborhoods, schools, and government with prayer but helped us become people quick to turn to and trust God in prayer. A lot of monumental moments were packed into a few short months. It was a great summer.

Now we’re entering September. Schools are beginning, fall sports are starting, and a new season of ministry is launching. Life Groups, women’s and men’s Bible studies, Student Ministries, Kids church, and serving opportunities are all swinging into full gear. Our Fall Kick-Off is Sunday, September 21, with lots of fun things being planned. You won’t want to miss it.

So we can focus completely on what God has for us now, we are ending the Lights at Morning Star. That outreach touched literally thousands of lives and was a bright spot in our community during those dark Covid years. But it’s time to move on and embrace the things God has for us in this season and in the future. To the hundreds of volunteers and staff and donors who helped make the Lights possible and to the thousands who came and heard the gospel message creatively presented, thanks for participating!

To keep you informed of where we are financially, here’s an overview.

SEPTEMBER GIVING NEED
September Budget: $160,000.00

Comments: As you can see, August giving was generous! It’s a great way to move into fall. However, we are still in the red for the year to date and our projected giving for September is increasing to 160k based on past trends that giving usually increases once we’re all back from summer. We will continue to be conservative with expenses and I ask you to join me in prayer that in the coming months our finances will keep trending up and that we can end the year in a strong financial position.

As always, I welcome your comments, questions, and suggestions. Please send them to me at john@mstar.church. I’ll respond.

In all things, Jesus first!

John Jaskilka, Executive Pastor
