World Cup Finale watch party here at Morning Star:

Join us on Sunday July 19th for our regular 9am church service, then we'll set up the building to host 300-400 new neighbor refugees from around the world as we watch the World Cup Finale together!

One of the most common languages around the world is the sport of soccer. With dozens of New Neighbor refugees living in the apartments near us this is a really tangible way to invite them into our (church) home, have a meal together and build relationships. This will be an accessible way to let them know we are glad they're here and to reflect the love of Jesus in our words & actions. We'll eat a great meal, share some memories, cheer, laugh and get to know each other.

The Lord has brought the world to us so we will faithfully follow as He leads!

We are putting together the plans for a possible kids area and the eating area as well as what food will be served, so stay tuned next month for more details and ways you can help with setup or serving our neighbors.

Prayer & Beam Signing for New Building:

On April 18th Hope Pregnancy had a very intentional and encouraging time of preparation for their new building scheduled to be opened this Fall. It was an honor to be able to pray over the location, the people and for their transformational ministry to the community. We took a guided tour of each area and saw the impact that will be, and the opportunity to grow into a bigger space to impact even more lives.

There were about 80-90 people there, faithfully praying, writing Scriptures, encouraging notes and signing the wood beams inside the building.

Please keep Hope Pregnancy Clinic in your prayers as they provide an option for their clients to choose life for their precious babies and see how much they are loved by Jesus!

Petr, who has been doing these public teachers conferences for many years, sent this prayer request in on April 17:

Dear friends and co-workers, Greetings from Riga, Latvia!

Again, I would like to ask to please pray for this coming weekend - we will have our Public School Teachers Conference on April 18-19.

At the moment, 137 teachers have signed up to come.
We are still actively preparing for the event.
This time, we are having a very international team of speakers, from Hawaii, Canada, Germany and Sweden. One of the speakers is still to arrive today -   your prayers are appreciated for his safe travel and landing.

Please pray for smooth 2 days of the conference and God Spirit to guide all processes.

Thank you all!

God bless,
Petr Samoylich and team

He followed up with the Praise Report from the conference on the 28:

Dear friends,

Greetings from Riga!
Thank you so much for your prayer support – on April 18-19, we had another wonderful and blessed Public School Teachers Conference, the 3rd and last one in this academic year. God’s presence was there.

Again – we highly appreciate your prayers, and will send more information soon, in our regular ministry newsletter.

Abundant blessings,

Petr Samoylich and team
