Student Ministries at Morning Star is all about one thing: providing a place for students to learn about Jesus Christ.
Discipleship is the model that Jesus used with his closest followers, and we believe that model is the best way to lead our middle- and high-school students. While we designed and work within a youth group program, it is the discipleship of students that is our priority. Our discipleship staff step into the lives of the next generation to walk alongside, teach and admonish, correct and encourage, and love patiently as they learn to follow Jesus.
Opportunities to serve with student ministries reach across the board. We are always in need of more adults who love Jesus and want to serve our students. No matter your availability, talents, or abilities, contact us to see how you can get started investing in the lives of students. We have different opportunities for volunteers, including discipleship staff, a parent team, safety and security, and help with special events throughout the year.
We have a dream to have an awesome, cross-generational team of adults and parents that help love these students and lead them towards Jesus.
what does it look like?
Serving with our students is a committment. We have multiple weekly gatherings, camps, and special events thoughout the year. It’s an investment of time, energy, and love that is worth every second.

middle SCHOOL time commitments
Attending a Sunday service
Attending MStar Middle School, our Sunday morning gathering (11 am in the South Aud)
Attending Highlife, our weekly youth group (Thursdays from 6:15-9 pm)
Winter Camp (3 day weekend in February), Summer Camp (Saturday-Thursday in June), and 2-3 day events throughout the year
HIGH SCHOOL time commitments
Attending a Sunday service
Attending or hosting a high school bible study once a week (leaders set times and locations)
Attending RIOT, our weekly youth group (Fridays from 6:15-9 pm)
Winter Camp (3 day weekend in February), Summer Camp (Saturday-Thursday in June), and 2-3 day events throughout the year
