Whether you’re new to the Salem area or been here for years, a brand new Christian or long-time follower, in a great season of life or going through a hard time and don’t know where to turn, looking for a new church home or just curious about who Jesus is and what church is all about, we realize that walking into a church—or being new anywhere—can be intimidating and maybe a little scary. Whatever your circumstances, wherever you are in life, we want to make that easier for you—and let you know you are welcome here.

After you have visited and filled out a Connect Card, your next step is to join us for one of our Connect events. This is a very informal gathering where you get a chance to know a little more about Morning Star’s heartbeat, meet some staff, and allow us to get to know you. Plus, we feed you a really good lunch—completely on us.
Why should you come to Connect? We understand that connecting in a new place isn’t always easy. Sometimes it is downright scary. So we’ve made this “first step” to explore connecting at Morning Star simple and fun.
