ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
I LOVE living a life that supports others and leads people to Jesus – that’s why I have loved the work I do here at Morning Star as an Administrative Assistant since 2015! I am currently the admin for Jen Tompkins (Women’s Ministry, First Impressions), Louie Schmitz (Children’s Ministry), Jared Boltman (Missions, Life Groups, Pastoral Care) and The Most Excellent Way. I’ve worked with and for many different staff and departments over the years and love the variety in my work.
I am also a pastor’s wife and mother. My husband, James, has been the Youth Pastor at Northgate Wesleyan Church since January 2018. Then in December 2018 we started the adventure of being parents to our first-born son! We were blessed again with our daughter in April 2022, and are now expecting our 3rd child in November 2024. We couldn’t be more grateful that the Lord purposed us to be parents to these kids!
Our family attends church on Sundays at Northgate, where my husband works. I am so thankful that I still get to be a part of the Morning Star family for my job during the week (I am very involved in week-day events like Mama Tribe and Women’s Bible Study) and that I also get to support my husband at his dream job at another wonderful church on Sundays. It’s a blast and a blessing to be involved in two such amazing communities of Christ! Morning Star is the church my husband grew up in, where we met and fell in love, and where many of our friends and family still attend.
In my personal time I like to snuggle and play with my kids, enjoy our backyard, read or watch a show, have movie nights with our friends, create a variety of pretty things, get more houseplants (there are never enough), go on dates with my husband (he’s the best), and play with our German Shepherd, Rey. We also practice sabbath weekly, and it is a huge blessing to our family and our spiritual lives!
