Hello! My name is Jared and I’m so excited about what God is doing in people’s lives at Morning Star. I’ve been on staff here since 2007 and I’ve been attending since 1999. I met my amazing wife here and we got married in 2006. I love our church family and how God is continuing to draw us closer to Him. One of my favorite Bible verses is 2 Timothy 3:16-17, “All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” Wow! God shows us who He is and how to live. His Word is filled with what we need. What a blessing.
My wife Rayanna and I have two amazing daughters, Miah and Eva. We love how God has adopted all of us into His family as Christ followers and we have followed His example by adopting these two girls into our family. They are a treasure and joy to us. Our days are filled with laughter, excitement, and adventure! Being a family of four is awesome. Our family likes watching movies and going to the coast when we can. Rayanna and I love collecting antiques of any kind… the older the better.
I’m a big sci-fi nerd: Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, Battlestar Galactica—it’s all good. I’m also a comic book nerd: Marvel more than DC, but Justice League more than Avengers. My sports teams generally do ok, but I’m loyal to them win or lose. Mariners, Blazers, Seahawks, and OSU Beavers all the way!
