Staff – Jen Tompkins

First and foremost, I’m a sold-out Jesus girl. I’m also an Oregonian through and through, with a weakness for kettlecorn and coffee. I’m married to Trent and mama to three ornery blessings: a sporty blonde son, a sassy redhead daughter, and a charming little Thai son who joined our family through adoption in 2012. I still pinch myself that I get to have a job where I can talk to women about Jesus all the time! I am passionate about helping women at Morning Star feel SEEN and loved. My biggest joy is to encourage girls of all ages to fall head-over-heels in love with the Word of God. We’ve been attending Morning Star since 2007, and studying the Bible in the Women’s Ministries at this church has truly transformed my life.

I’m very aware of how inadequate I am to do any of it—ministry, marriage, parenting, friendship…adulting. I’ve learned to cling to the Lord to help me get through each day. His grace is sufficient for me! Dark chocolate-covered espresso beans also help.
