Staff – Scott Nelson

The Lord has blessed my wife Denise and me with four children, two sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law (Denise aptly calls them “in-loves”), and 12 grandchildren! Our time is filled, our house is often full, and our hearts are overflowing with thanksgiving for each of these dear gifts from the Lord.

If I’m not spending time with our grandkids, I love reading and studying theology, current events, law, politics—really, just about anything! I also enjoy music, playing the piano, and working out at the gym (sometimes).

Being raised in a musical family, I always thought my future would involve a classical music track or perhaps ministry of worship and praise. I never imagined that the Lord would, many years ago, lead me to shepherd a flock. In many ways, though, I can see how the Lord prepared me though the influence of so many godly professors and pastors who invested in my life. Now, as a father and grandfather, I see more clearly the amazing parallels there are in raising a family and raising and equipping disciples in the body of Christ.

I love what God is doing and am so grateful to be part of it!
