I hope this email finds you well and that you are enjoying your summer. It seems like just yesterday we were ringing in the new year and now we have already lit our 4th of July fireworks. So many exciting things are happening at MStar this summer, from last month’s Great Camp to summer Prayer Walks to next month’s Kids Sports Camp outreach. God is always up to something! As we move through summer, I want to take a few moments to update you on our finances and other operational notes.

2025 JANUARY-JUNE BUDGET REPORT / MINISTRY FUND
Budget: $905,000.00
Actual: $817,747.00
Difference: -$87,253.00 (-9.64%)
JULY GIVING NEED
July Budget: $145,000.00
Comments: After a strong financial start to 2025, we have quickly seen finances get tight. We are praying that there will be just as quick a reversal back to the plus side as we continue to move the mission forward. Things are less than ideal, but it’s far too early to make any major decisions. We are watching our spending and tightening our belts where we can as we continue to assess our financial situation and options. We will continue to communicate clearly if this deficit trend continues.
PROPERTY UPDATE
Last fall we shared with you that Morning Star was ready to enter into a PSA (Purchase and Sale Agreement) with an undisclosed buyer who was interested in the 7.5 acres on the south side of our property along Kuebler. Over the past six months, these conversations have stalled and we are now back to the drawing board. This is disappointing news to share, as the Board of Elders and I felt that this was a great opportunity for us. Despite the disappointment, we truly believe God’s best for us is still out there and that God will reward our faithful patience. The Board of Elders continues to work behind the scenes to see what options would best propel our mission forward. We are currently receiving a third party evaluation on our property that will help with future decision making. We will continue to update you as progress is made.
