AUGUST Financial Update

Dear Morning Star Family,

A new season has officially arrived! Fall is my very favorite time of the year and I’m energized by all that I see God doing in and through our church as we each lead people to pursue a Jesus-first life. Here are some end-of-summer numbers to be familiar with as we seek to steward well what God has given us.

Budgeted: $140,000
Actual: $148,735.93
Difference: +$8,735.93 (+6.24%)

AUGUST GIVING REPORT / MINISTRY FUND
Budgeted: $130,000
Actual: $143,200.34
Difference: +$13,200.34 (+10.15%)

2022 JANUARY-AUGUST BUDGET REPORT / MINISTRY FUND
Budgeted: $1,135,000
Actual: $1,311,664
Difference: +$176,664 (+15.57%)

UPCOMING  PROJECTED GIVING / MINISTRY FUND
SEPTEMBER: $155,000
OCTOBER: $160,000

COMMENTS: As you can see from the numbers above, God continues to provide for our every need and the Morning Star family continues to be responsive and responsible with the resources God gives, despite the economic climate of uncertainty. God is faithful—and so are you!

Typically, summer is light on tithes and offerings and then we experience a financial “fall bump” that lasts through year-end giving as people re-engage with church life. We try to plan and anticipate accordingly, so you will notice higher monthly giving projections. These are based on our trends over the past three years. We work hard to be as accurate as possible on these projections.

FAMILY MEETING: Last Sunday, we informed you of some relevant updates within our church family. We discussed finances, our debt situation, staffing, property, and the Lights at Morning Star, along with some encouraging words from the elders, pastors, and ministry leaders. If you missed the meeting, you can catch it HERE. Here, too, are links to the graphs that were shown: Debt Reduction 2022  // Expenses 2022

GIVING: If you would like to partner financially with Morning Star Community Church in disciple-making work and/or set up automatic giving, you can do so by clicking HERE.

THANK YOU for your amazing prayers and faithful giving. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

In all things, Jesus first!
